I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
